Biographical details

Michael Kassiou is an Associate Professor in the School of Chemistry and Medical Radiation Sciences at the University of Sydney and Head of the Drug Discovery Research Unit at the Brain and Mind Research Institute. A/Professor Kassiou has been responsible for fundamental contributions in a number of areas which encompass the interface between chemistry and biology. His group is primarily concerned with the understanding of drug-protein and drug-binding site interactions in order to obtain structure-activity relationships of bioactive CNS molecules. This allows the rationale design of more efficacious treatments for diseases of the brain. [More...]
